Sun 11th Sept - Oxford Open Doors (Oxford Preservation Trust in partnership with Oxford University) This was a fantastic afternoon, we had over 800 visitors to our displays
and workshops. The gymnasts were incredible helping the children in the taster sessions and were obviously fantastic
in the display. One man said that our club and gymnasts were a credit to Oxfordshire and themselves. We have had
an overwhelming response to our display and have had many enquires of children wanting to join our classes.

NDP National Finals May 2011We had 4 partnerships representing the South of England and Oxford at the biggest NDP (National Development Plan)
event of the year, all their hard work and preparation culminates in this event. On Sat Rebecca, Cosette and Sophie competed 2 routines and finished with the
bronze medal, despite making a number of uncharacteristic mistakes in both routines. On Sunday Izzy and Fiona competed
in the highly competitive category of the grade 1 women's pairs. They looked stunning and performed a fantastic routine.
They finished in 6th place, only 0.15 behind bronze. Which shows you how close this competition was. Freya, Xenia
and Grace took part in the Grade 1 women's group competition which is also always a tough category. They too performed
a strong and well executed performance, gaining the 2nd highest technical score. They finished in 4th place, just missing
out on a podium place which was a real disappointment for the girls. Megan, Phoebe and Nina were the last of our partnerships
to compete. They went out and did a fantastic technical and artistic performance to win the gold medal. Overall
a great weekend with fantastic results and performances. Well done! and thank you to all our supporters!

FIAC 2011 (Flanders International Acro Cup)Our team of gymnasts had a fantastic time in Belgium and once again returned home with great results. All gymnasts
achieved the goals which were set for them. Our 2 little 11-16 trios (Megan, Phoebe, Nina, Rebecca, Cosette and Sophie)
in their first ever 11-16 competition had the target to make the finals which they both did with ease. Steph and Emerald
in the Junior section were also aiming to make the finals after injury had prevented both girls from having satisfactory competition
preparation. They too secured a place in the finals much to their delight. Becky and Freya knew we had greater
expectations of them as they have the experience behind them. They too achieved our expectations, bringing home the
bronze medal. Well Done!!

Congratulations to Fran, Becky and Freya winners of the world silver medal

Oxford School of Gymnastics wins Oxfordshire's Junior Sports Team of the Year 2010
Emma and Carrie nominated the slightly unorthodox acrobatics team of Fran Groves, Freya Clempson,
Rebecca Brookes and Becky Evans for this prize in recognition of their outstanding achievements in 2010. Without anyone of them their successes in 2010 would not have been possible. Well Done!
Congratulations to Becky and Megan! 3rd in Qualifications at the European Championships Poland 2010
Becky and Megan had a fantastic competition in Poland representing GB in the European Championships.
They finished 3rd after qualifications but did not progress to the finals as the other GB pair beat them by 0.1. The
rule is that only one partnership from each country may compete in the finals, so unfortunately Becky and Megan
missed out on the chance of a medal. Despite the disappointment of not making the finals the girls have had a fantastic life experience
which will always be really special to them and we are really proud of you both. Well Done.
Regional Championships Nov 2010
We had a
fantastic weekend at the Regional Championships with all our gymnasts performing amazingly with all but one partnership winning
a medal.

British Gymnastics are delighted to announce that Oxford
School of Gymnastics have recently gained GymMark status and are congratulated for creating a "safe, effective and child-friendly”
environment for all of their gymnasts.
see the southern region web page
We would like to take this opportunity to say a BIG BIG thank
you to Richard Evans who has given up so much of his time, pretty much single handedly helping the Club achieve this fantastic
award. Without him this really would not have been possible. Thank you Rich!
